The Brief:After appointing us to redesign their eCommerce site, we agreed a set of clear objectives for the project. Firstly, the unique online destination shop, first designed for Temperley in 2009, had to be suitable for mobile visitors. We had to design an online store that was fully responsive but remained entirely different to other fashion and luxury brand websites. Secondly, best practice eCommerce functionality had to be seamlessly integrated into the Temperley brand experience. Thirdly, the customer journey had to reflect Alice Temperley’s aesthetic and the distinct style of the stores in London, Los Angeles and New York. Since launch the online presence has been refined and honed to become one of the leading global fashion eCommerce portals on the web.

Project Notes: First launched in London Fashion Week in September 2000, Temperley London has quickly grown to become one of the most desirable fashion brands in the world. The label’s online platform is already “well on its way” to becoming the company’s biggest store, with internet sales having risen by 200 per cent over the past year.  Graphic Alliance has created a unique user journey and seamless brand and shopping experience which transports the user deep into an online Temperley world. The new site delivers a truly tailored online experience with layouts that respond to the dimensions and orientation of the user’s screen, showcasing a seamless blend of content and commerce that enables customers to shop the entire collection from anywhere, on any device.

The Result: The new site reflects a “new era”, as Temperley describes it, one that is focused on a slicker and more elegant aesthetic. As part of its digital innovations, we have employed unique functionality that will allow visitors to pre-order looks from the catwalk.

Aside from brimming with beautiful products, the new site also features the company’s first ever blog – Temperley Times. The blog will be updated with news and behind-the-scenes action from shoots and will include contributions from high-profile friends of the brand who will share their favourite Temperley pieces. Online visitors can now get a sneak preview of upcoming projects, see footage documenting the creative process behind the collections, and read updates, styling tips, and interviews with Alice Temperley about her favourite things to see and do! This brings the website to life on screen in a thoroughly personal way, offering visitors a unique insight into the world of Temperley.
