The Brief:We are currently in the third year of working with Silver Cross, who manufacture the world’s most iconic prams. Our work has covered everything from redesigning their eCommerce website through to creating dynamic content to interact with customers via email, blogs, microblogs and other social media channels.
Project Notes:Alan Halsall, Chief Executive of Silver Cross, has spearheaded the repositioning of the business from ‘people who just sell prams’ into the world’s foremost nursery and parenting brand. Over the past two years the brand has launched new toys and gifts ranges and nursery furniture and bedding. However the intention is not to create a mass-market brand but focus on customers’ individual requirements by selling through independent retailers across the globe.
The Result:Since working together revenue from online sales has more than trebled and the website easily outperforms wholesale revenues from John Lewis and Mothercare. Our social media led digital strategy has made an important impact, enabling Silver Cross to maintain two-way dialogue with its customers on a daily basis. From auctioning the pram used by Lily Allen at the Brit Awards to providing detailed product demonstrations on YouTube and customer service on Twitter. Silver Cross are embracing social media channels in order to maintain an open, honest relationship with their customers.
