The Brief:Prestat is The Queen’s chocolatier. We were asked to create a new eCommerce website that reflects the brand’s sense of fun, indulgence, surprise and seduction. The Economist’s Intelligent Life magazine described Prestat as “one of the top three chocolate shops in the world” and so the website had to match this online.
Project Notes:Prestat has held a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty The Queen for over 35 years. A Royal Warrant is a mark of service, quality of produce and outstanding value. It is only awarded to companies that consistently provide excellence. This rare and prestigious honour is reviewed every five years. In 1999, Prestat was privileged to be appointed a second Royal Warrant from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother in her centenary year.
The Result:Since the redesign the Prestat website has achieved four times as many visits from organic Google searches and nearly five times more direct traffic. Referrals have increased by three and a half times and they are attracting far more interest from across the Atlantic. The wit, eccentricity and humour of the brand is reflected in the design and theatrical blog content whilst the shopping functionality is clear and easy to navigate.
