The Brief:As one of the UK’s leading investment management companies, Charles Stanley required a new corporate website to showcase its wide range of wealth management services on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. The firm needed to communicate its traditional, high-quality service to the discerning private investor of today, who is more informed and better connected than ever before.
Project Notes:Charles Stanley offers the very best levels of personal service for all clients from discretionary, advisory and execution-only clients through to corporate clients, both large and small, plus charity and court of protection clients. The new site needed to focus on each service individually and really explain what distinguishes the Charles Stanley experience from other similar providers. Different types of customer use different wealth management services and investment products and in order to cater for each type of visitor, the content on the site needed to reflect these different demands.
The website is the online manifestation of the new Charles Stanley corporate identity, which better reflects the firm’s values and culture. In addition to a new look for the ‘Charles Stanley’ logo, what emerged from this process was ‘Managing Wealth for Generations’, a simple strapline that epitomises how the firm operates for the client’s needs today and tomorrow. The design of the site is aimed at the modern investor with a slick, responsive experience that feels best-in-class. The rich content on the site gives clients confidence that they can achieve their investment objectives for themselves and their families.
The Result:“Charles Stanley represents the decent, likeable end of the City” according to the London Evening Standard and the new website design is informative and engaging in equal measure. The information architecture is well arranged on the pages in order to clearly communicate the range of investment products and services offered since 1792. The new site is not only content-rich with good editorial but also uses the brand identity and graphics to breed confidence and exude excellence.
