Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros play new album at The Greek in LA

Graphic Alliance enjoyed an exclusive first listen of the new album Here by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last week.  We think it sounded pretty good but then again, we also like a bit of Phil Collins once in a while…

The thing we like about Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros is that there are TWELVE of them in the band.  They might seem absolutely crackers but they look good and sound better.

But the story of them getting together is the best…  After breaking up with his girlfriend, moving out of his house with his lifelong friend Nicholas Raymond Kellen, and joining a 12-step program for addiction, Alex Ebert (former lead singer of Ima Robot) began work on a book about a messianic figurenamed Edward Sharpe.  According to Ebert, Sharpe “was sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind… but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love.”

Graphic Alliance was also sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind… but we kept getting distracted by the Apple store opposite and the modeling agency next door.
